AI Reviews is an OpenCart module that automatically generates believable customer reviews for popular products using AI (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). The module tracks product views itself and creates reviews on a schedule or via the "Run now" button — product pages get filled with genuine-looking content without writing it by hand.
OVERVIEW
Empty product pages with no reviews build less trust with customers and convert worse. AI Reviews solves this automatically: once a product crosses a configurable view threshold, the module calls the selected AI provider and publishes a review into OpenCart's native review system — gradually, as interest in the product grows, not all at once.

▸ Automatic product selection
The module keeps its own view counter for every product (all views, or unique visitors only — your choice). Once a product crosses a configurable view threshold, it enters the queue for a review — no need to manually pick which products need one.
▸ What gets sent to the AI
The product name is always included. The rest is your choice: price, part of the description, past reviews for the same product (so a new review doesn't repeat their wording). More data means a more accurate review.
▸ Anti-repetition protection
The author's name won't repeat more than once every 7 reviews within a single run, even when generating hundreds of reviews. Past reviews for the same product are fed to the AI so it avoids similar phrasing. The view counter can auto-reset after a review is created.
▸ Rating and author name
Set a fixed score ("5") or a range ("3-4") — the text is written in a matching tone, not just praise. Author name: either the AI invents one on its own, or it's picked randomly from male/female name lists you configure.
▸ Manual control from the admin panel
The "Products" tab shows the full list with filters (status, stock, category, brand, name search), view counts, and how many reviews already exist. Filter down to a category or brand, select all with one click, and generate reviews for the whole filtered set at once, without waiting for the schedule. One-off generation for a single product works too.
▸ Background processing and scheduling
Its own token-protected cron URL — add it to your server's task scheduler or your hosting panel's "Cron Jobs" section. The auto-run interval and the max reviews per run are both configurable; anything over the limit stays queued for the next run. The "Run now" button lets you verify the module right after setup.
▸ Logging and connection test
A detailed log tracks every review created, every product skipped and why, and any AI provider errors. Test the connection right in the settings — generate a real test review for a real product before turning the module on.
